Welcome to our little French hideaway
Not just a holiday rental villa, Villa Cachée is our family holiday home in Les Mathes, France. The detached villa is discretely hidden from the quiet road at the end of our drive, hence the name Villa Cachée (Hidden Villa). The villa is equipped to make your, and our, holidays relaxed and enjoyable. Located just 6km from the beaches of La Palmyre, with La Tremblade, Ille d’Oleron and Royan just a few miles away making this probably the perfect holiday location.
We used to holiday in mobile homes in the area which we enjoyed but we longed for greater freedom to do the things we wanted, when we wanted and, of course, a place offering more space and comfort.
We wanted a warm swimming pool open when we wanted it open, to have a drink at a table that always had our name on it, freedom to play boules or table tennis without waiting in line.
We also wanted the assurance that we and our friends could all park their cars next to the accommodation.
We purchased the villa in 2016 and spent 6 months extending, refurbishing and decorating. We also built our swimming pool and decking area. We had our first guests at the end of August 2016 and are looking forward to welcoming new guests over the following months and years.
New for 2022!
At the end of 2021 we purchased a plot of land from our neighbour and have built a brand new 8m x 4m swimming pool. It is heated and is surrounded by a large tiled area with 10 sun beds. We have also built a brand new family bedroom which has an ensuite showroom. This room is accessed via a French window that opens directly onto the patio area adjacent to the pool.
If you are looking for a lot more comfort than a mobile home and a private pool, we believe our villa will fit the bill.
